To ensure the safety of both horse and rider, it is our policy to include the teaching of proper horsemanship to our students. Horseback riding lessons will include instruction on how to prepare the horse and rider for safe riding, grooming, and tacking up. Lesson length is approximately 1 hour. This time frame may vary based on the endurance of the rider, and the amount of time necessary to accomplish the projected goals for that lesson. It is important to us that the rider fully understands, and has a good feel for what has been taught that day. We strive to complete each session in a positive manner, therefore no lesson will be ended solely because the hour has come to an end.
